THE PRODUCTION PROCESS

Recipe Testing and Development

Two pieces of bread placed on a metal cooling rack.

Whether its developing recipe ideas or taking a title and putting the dish to the test. We can handle the full foodie exploration at our kitchen studio allowing for feedback and any teething issues to be sorted ahead of the shoot

Spreadsheet with a video and photography schedule for day 1, including a sourdough bread recipe, steps, timings, notes, and checkboxes for completion. Highlights a note to pre-make sourdough at 10:15 for 30 minutes.

Pre-production

From scheduling, booking crew and finalising the food shop. What makes a recipe video shoot run smooth is the planning, and that’s entirely down to our in-house producers and their obsession with spreadsheets

Production

A woman in a blue sweater standing in a kitchen studio set, preparing baking ingredients while a camera operator films her. The kitchen has a white island with eggs, a plant, and baking tools.

Onto production in our kitchen studio. We often shoot up to 4 recipe videos per day (depending on their complexity) This can range from on set in our customisable kitchen space featuring talent or using coloured textures for ‘top down’ hands only for a more abstract feel
